Caroline is responsible for providing legal services and information to asylum claimants and torture victims, guiding them through the Unified Screening Mechanism (USM) process.
Prior to joining Justice Centre in September 2021, Caroline worked in private practice as an immigration lawyer, advising clients on corporate, family and humanitarian matters. She also has experience at a Hong Kong-based NGO, where she supported the coordination of the Global Refugee Forum Legal Community Pledge.
Throughout her time at law school, Caroline was actively involved in refugee and migrant rights issues, including co-founding her law school’s International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) chapter. Caroline holds a J.D. degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a B.A. (Hons) from the University of Toronto in Ethics, Society & Law and Criminology. She is qualified to practice in the province of Ontario, Canada.
