Pro Bono Partners
Justice Centre’s pro bono partners dedicate invaluable time, skills and resources (both financial and in-kind) to support refugees and other forced migrants in Hong Kong SAR.
Our partners work with us to deliver a range of critical legal services, which target areas of unmet needs. We offer pro bono opportunities which range from conducting desk-based research on conditions in risk countries, and providing legal advice on operational issues, to working directly with refugees and torture survivors to prepare testimony and represent them in asylum proceedings.
Our approach to pro bono emphasises collaboration and impact. We work closely with pro bono teams, individual lawyers who are seeking to do good while fulfilling their pro bono requirement for bar admission, and actively foster cross-firm and cross-sector collaborations. Our projects are developed to address critical legal aid gaps in Hong Kong SAR, so that pro bono efforts are effectively channeled for maximum impact.

Academic Institutions
Justice Centre is dedicated to training and supporting future generations of refugee protection practitioners.
We have more than a decade of experience in delivering clinical legal education programmes with international universities. In 2020, we adapted our programme to offer remote placements and facilitate ongoing engagement with our international education partners.
Students on our programmes receive tailored training on international and domestic refugee law and have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a practical setting. They develop essential professional skills and use these to make a difference.
