In response to media enquiries, Justice Centre Hong Kong provides the following comments:
Granting the refugee and asylum-seeking community access to vaccination is a welcome development in including forced migrants into Hong Kong’s public health response, and will benefit not only this community but the whole of Hong Kong.
Justice Centre looks forward to working with the International Social Service, other NGOs and all stakeholders towards a smooth rollout of the vaccination programme within the refugee community. We also hope to continue to work with the government in addressing other factors that expose the community to greater public health risks, such as substandard, overcrowded and inadequate accommodation that refugees often reside in as a consequence of the meagre monthly housing allowance provided.

Justice Centre Hong Kong
Justice Centre
