Jocelyn Chau

Development and Communications Coordinator

Life at JC

  • Responsible for maintaining and developing strategic partnerships with pro bono partners as well as coordinating the delivery of educational programmes
  • Responsible for Justice Centre’s internal and external communications

Life Pre-JC

  • Besides interning at UNRWA headquarters in Jordan and providing emergency response to boat landings in Greece, Jocelyn also wrote articles for the Jordan Times on Jordan-China relations, the water shortage crisis in Jordan, and the refugee situation

Life Beyond JC

  • Lots of travelling, eating, and language learning! After work, you can always find Jocelyn exploring new restaurants in town, if not taking French/Arabic classes online. She also loves travelling and has visited more than 25 countries.

Jocelyn holds a first-class bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Arabic from the University of St Andrews.

Passionate about Middle Eastern politics and refugee issues, she has immense experience covering news stories in the Middle East and has lived in Jordan for more than a year learning the local Arabic dialect.

During her undergraduate study, she came back to Hong Kong almost every summer to take up different internships. She previously interned at the Legislative Council of Hong Kong and the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, assisting with policy research and communications tasks.
