
Justice Centre, as part of the Refugee Concern Network, submitted a Parallel Report to the Committee on Economic Social and Cultural Rights in relation to Hong Kong’s fourth periodic report under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR).
The report discussed the general legal framework of non-refoulement protection in Hong Kong, as well as specific issues pertaining to different articles of the ICESCR, including:
- Non-discrimination;
- The right to adequate standard of living;
- The right to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health;
- The right to education;
- The right to work and right to just and favourable conditions of work.
